Dutch government interferes in Life Long Learning
By means of several measures, the government will encourage adults to keep on learning, even though they are already employed.

A brief overview:

  • Part-time students that do healthcare, welfare and technical studies on HBO level will receive 'education vouchers'.
  • Custom made courses will be given for part-time students.
  • Recognition of the skills and knowledge an employee already has will be made more easy.
  • In MBO schools it will be possible to obtain certificates for parts of a study.

The parliament herewith agreed with a proposal of Bussemaker (Minister of Education, Culture and Science) and Asscher (Minister of Social Affairs and Emploment).
